Job Description

An Assistant Public Relations Manager will drive brand awareness and enhance public relations activities on the national and local levels by communicating through various media on behalf of Minor Hotels and its brands.
This role is concerned with creating and maintaining a high profile and positive image for Minor Hotels and its brands, ensuring customer preference for the brands by effectively communicating to media and industry partners and increasing positive media coverage.
 

THE SCOPE OF THE ROLE
The scope of this role includes the following:
•  Write, prepare and distribute press releases as well as other promotional messages.
•  Translate press releases and promotional messages from/to English/Thai.
•  Plan, develop and implement PR strategies.
•  Prepare and maintain accurate and update hotel and outlet press kits.
•  Organise events including such as press trips, press conferences and product launch events to gain public attention through offline and online media.
•  Invite media, celebrities to attend promotional activities
•  Handle inquiries from the media and other parties.
•  Track media coverage and prepare PR and coverage reports for all brands on bi-monthly, monthly, half-yearly and annual basis.
•  Consolidate and update media database.
•  Build and maintain positive relationships with media, stakeholders and the public.
•  Coordinate with property on media stay request, experience and follow-up on results.
•  Host media onsite during media visits and familiarization trips, both in Bangkok and upcountry.
•  Supervise and direct photographers commissioned to take picture as required.
•  Seek opportunities for sponsorship and partnerships.
•  Undertake additional duties as requested.
 

Qualifications

•  At least 2 years of experience in PR.
•  Experience managing media relations (online, print and broadcast).
•  Experience in developing and executing PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Thai.
•  Professional negotiation and crisis management skills; understanding market trends.
•  An ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks.
•  Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
•  Creativity and problem-solving aptitude.
•  Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
•  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects with changing priorities.
•  Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint and social media.
•  Background in photo or video shooting/editing skills is a plus.
