Avani Fares is the first AVANI branded resort in Maldives. With 200 keys and multiple F&B outlets as well as Spa & Recreation facilities we are looking for a strong Manager People & Culture Manager with previous pre-opening experience to join our team. This position reports directly to the General Manager of the hotel.

Job Description

Manager of People & Culture Manager will be one of the key Leaders on the property and in our pre-opening team. From business planning to team member engagement strategy to learning and development to compensation and benefits to communication, the management team will look to you to take the lead. You will be involved in not only managing the People & Culture function but ensuring the success of the operation through effective business planning, talent management and performance monitoring. You will be responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of our team members throughout their journey. Also, you will be looking after the accommodation of our team members, hence ideally you have previously worked in an environment where People & Culture is responsible for the full spectrum of team members welfare. 

Ability to innovate, use data for decision making and motivation to create fun, functional and positive working culture is something that we look for from our ideal candidate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in HR from international companies with evidence of track record of achievements in coaching leaders, designing policies, employee engagement, payroll management, employee relations and recruitment to name few key people & Culture areas.
  • Strong in inter-personal and communication skills. High influencing skills and experience in working in multicultural environments. 
  • Proficiency in English and computer literate, understanding of HRIS systems. Previous experience in using Fusion would be a benefit. 
  • Strong in driving results, strong experience and motivation in people management and development. 

Due to the current and upcoming changes in the working environment and legislation in Maldives related to employment, success in this role demands a strong knowledge of local labor law. Hence, we are ideally looking for someone who has previous experience in working in Maldives.
