Avani Fares is the first AVANI branded resort in Maldives. With 200 keys and multiple F&B outlets as well as Spa & Recreation facilities we are looking for a strong Executive Housekeeper with previous pre-opening experience to join our team. This position reports directly to the Resort Manager of the hotel.

Job Description

As Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for one of the biggest departments in the hotel. Your influence on the team will ensure the delivery of an exceptional customer experience. You will be in charge of the entire housekeeping team and ensure due to your excellent knowledge and management skills that all guest rooms and public areas are sufficiently cleaned and up to the high standards. Further you will provide the team members with guidance and training, implement SOPs, and ensure well maintained guest facilities.

In addition, Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for 

  • Supervise housekeeping operations such as cleaning and maintenance whilst ensuring compliance with all housekeeping policies, procedures, standards, and satisfaction of guests’ needs.
  • Lead the Housekeeping Department by developing and implementing departmental objectives in line with the hotel business objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and continually review the policies, procedures, practices, and standards.
  • Manage inventory and guest supplies and the ordering of supplies as necessary to meet quality standards and hotel business needs. 
  • Participate in all refurbish and projects planning, execution, and final set up.
  • Prepare the annual budget and manning guide and manage the housekeeping department within budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications

  • At least five years’ experience in managerial role in a housekeeping department
  • Experience in a luxury hotel brand.
  • Deals with guest complain.
  • Training, developing, and evaluating staff, Screening, interviewing and selection. 
  • Excellent HACCP knowledge
  • Fluent in English
