Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Advisor who understands the hotel operations and knows where to find the right talent for our properties in Australia and New Zealand. This role suits individuals who are currently responsible for the recruitment for their departments (e.g., Managers or Supervisors in Front Office, Housekeeping, or F&B). This is a great opportunity to transition and grow their career in the People & Culture function. This role will be based in either Brisbane or Sunshine Coast, Australia. Due to the current border restrictions, this role is only available to candidates who hold working rights, and are currently based, in Australia. 

In this role, you will manage the recruitment processes for our operational roles across Australia and New Zealand. We are launching a modern Application Tracking System, and looking for a team player who is confident and capable of using technology to source candidates creatively and efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity to build and grow your career in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources Management.

A typical day in this role will involve collaboration with Hiring Managers to ascertain role requirements, write creative job adverts that attract the right talent, and review applications for high volume vacancies. Working in partnership with the People & Culture team, and the Operation Teams, you will be involved in projects that help enhance our employer brands, and our talent bank ranging from social media campaign, succession planning, to visits and presentations at career events.

Candidate quality and speed matter. This role suits individuals who are organised, capable of delivering competing priorities; and who enjoy networking and working with diverse stakeholders, from candidates, hiring managers to business partners. You will be able to actively collaborate with colleagues across levels from entry to senior management, and will have the ability to bring your ideas forward.  

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Working rights in Australia.
  • Creative sourcing ability through multiple platforms
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships in multilocation environments
  • Ability to learn and use new systems quickly
  • High adaptable to changing environments with an eye for continuous improvement
  • Can-do, positive attitude and keen to work collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred, but not essential:

  • Experienced using an ATS would be an advantage
  • Ability to create and edit videos
  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the hotel operations; responsible for the hiring for their departments (e.g. F&B,  Front Office, Housekeeping, Managers/ Supervisors)
