Job Description

The Financial Services Supervisor is part of a team which administers the efficient and effective operation of all consumer finance related aspects of the Anantara Vacation Club’s operations. The focus of this role is to lead and manage a small team with the timely collection of monthly installments from customers of timeshare receivables arising from installment sales contracts. The roles supports the Financial Services department and a key driver of performance is to maintain and hit individual and team goals set by management. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn, develop and maintain expertise in the operation of the Loan Servicing modules within the SPI & ARMNET credit management computer systems.
  • To ensure that the database of timeshare receivables is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Prompt action and follow up of overdue monthly installments and take all necessary steps to ensure the recovery of overdue amounts in line with KPI’s.
  • As a senior member of the team your role will be required to mentor and coach new and existing associates

  • Emphasis on reducing bad debt and sales reversals within the team. Assist with new strategic initiatives as they role out.
  • Communicate in a timely manner with colleagues in other departments to resolve financial issues and providing superior customer service as the situation determines.
  • Ability to closely investigate and work with compliance in handling escalated complaints
  • The ability to document and makes summary recommendations to support cancellation, loan restructure, or other appropriate financial resolutions.
  • The expectation is to show leadership and develop strong foundations in line with our core policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce or Accounting. (Preferable)
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a financial services environment – i.e. a bank or similar consumer lending organisation - preferably loan servicing and collections.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in using computerized systems in an accounting or finance environment.
  • An understanding of the principles of consumer credit such as credit cards, car loans or similar financial products.
  • A polite and tactful communication style.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required and the ability to speak Mandarin/Cantonese &/or Thai would be viewed favorably.
