The E-Commerce Manager/Assistant Manager is responsible for the strategy to maximize the exposure of the property across all online distribution and communication channels to ensure increased room revenues, decreased operational costs, and optimal return on investment. The E-Commerce Manager/Assistant Manager leads the strategy for guest communications, e-marketing efforts, and database marketing to continually optimize: brand consistency, the guest experience, conversion, incremental revenues, guest retention, and guest loyalty for the property and the brand
- At least Bachelor’s Degree in any related filed or experience in the above field.
Experience in online marketing roles in the hotel or travel industry.
Very good written & verbal English is essential.
Good understating of Search Engine Optimization and Pay-per-clicks tactics.
Experience in using Content Management Systems.
Proficient analytical web skills and ability to analyze website performance data (i.e. financial, statistical and /or performance).
Strong analytical skills are a must. Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage details through to completion and ensure project deadlines are met.
Able to analyse reports and build strategies based on need and demand of the market
Plan and execute projects and action plans way ahead of time to enable us to be seen and heard in the market and driving a better conversion
Lead, direct, and manage all department operations. Maintain regular presence throughout the department.
Work with digital team and agency partners on the implementation of the online campaign (website, SEM, and social media) and ensure all relevant communication is available on property websites.
Utilize electronic media as a catalyst for exposure, increased awareness, sales, and business opportunities.
Coordinate ongoing research of the industry to detect market trends and related information for development of new sales and marketing strategies. Make recommendations to improve potential from various markets.
Plan, execute, and consult on the consistent application of Avani Hotel brand on all marketing, communication, and media to ensure brand consistency.
Ensure social media communications are consistent with brand voice.
Manage social media marketing strategy, develop brand awareness, and generate inbound traffic.
Monitor performance of e-marketing and guest engagement campaigns. Initiate corrective action in a timely manner.
Ensure quality and timeliness of work performed by contracted vendors.
Prepare and execute business plans to ensure the maximization of department performance.
Create and develop goals and operational strategies for the operations that are aligned with the Avani Hotel brand. Communicate the role that each employee has in their achievement and ensure accountability.
Analyze and identify financial opportunities including cost controls, productivity levels, and revenue generation.
Monitor actual sales, revenues, and expenses to determine variance and assess goal accomplishments, and adjust strategies and forecasts accordingly.
Review weekly forecasts and planning of cost expenditures to correspond to forecasted occupancy and costs.
Monitor competitive set activities and adjust execution as needed.
