Job Description

Exciting opening for a Fitness Trainer with skills in multiple forms of exercise, at a Luxury Medi-Spa. Will be resposible to devise personal exercise programs for guests availing Wellness & Beauty packages.

Qualifications

  • Qualification from a registered body such as Register of Exercise Professionals + Certificate in First Aid
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing personality, a sense of humor to put up with the inevitable short tempers and difficult people, ability to take responsibility, interested in and good at physical activity, patient and tactful, enjoys working with people, good communication skills, commitment to personal health and physical fitness 
  • To focus on soft skills expected of the profile ( Interaction with the client , execution of individual and group activity sessions )
  • Exhibits good standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Exhibits responsible behavior
  • Has good presence of mind to promptly handle crisis situations
  • Should have efficient time management qualities for performing the execution of activity sessions as per defined protocols - Type, frequency, intensity and duration of exercise

Additional Information

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Assess clients fitness level, needs and capabilities by measuring weight and conducting appropriate fitness tests to check flexibility, endurance, posture, muscle strength etc
  • To devise personal exercise programs for clients according to age,level of fitness and existing Medical condition or if undiagnosed, based on existing signs and symptoms.
  • Provide practical guidance while conducting individual / group activity sessions as per Programme specific schedulers
  • Provide advise to clients on the correct method of exercising with strength training and cardio equipment,  and other training and exercising equipments
  • Provide practical guidance on a variety of fitness activities like Pilates, Zumba, Cardio, Yoga, Relaxation Techniques etc
  • Is able to identify undiagnosed illnesses, injuries, diseases, conditions & know whether Fitness session is appropriate or not for the day
  • Should be well versed in subject and able to identify medical conditions based on symptoms exhibited by clients
  • To be well versed with latest and updated Gym Equipments including TRX suspension training etc
  • On a regular basis, maintain the Gym Equipment in the best possible manner
  • Co-ordinate with varied discipline experts for holistic and best inputs leading for achievement of optimum results
  • Motivates clients in the best possible manner to adhere to Activity guidelines for both execution and sustaining the same on completion of the programme 
  • To provide exercise guidelines and schedules to be carried forward at home on completion of the programme
  • To ensure that post fitness session, good care is taken of all clients and lemon water etc is offered as a protocol
  • To promptly execute first aid techniques and CPR in case of Medical Emergencies
  • To keep regular track for the calibration of equipments
  • To maintain Fitness records for all clients for all individual and group activity sessions
  • Is able to suggest additional treatment line as identified and gauged during the execution of Fitness sessions
  • To ensure that all duties are carried out in line with Company policies with high standards of personal appearance and personal hygiene and correct uniform.
