Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Sustainability Manager is responsible for engaging supply chain management teams and targeted suppliers to uplift environment, occupational health and safety, and human rights in upstream supply chain in order to achieve company’s long-term goals and in partnership with other companies.

He/she is in charge of assessment, audit and improvement of performances of tier 1 and non-tier 1 suppliers in compliances with relevant environment, occupational health and safety, and human rights laws, regulations and standards. He/she is responsible for rolling out sustainable supply chain model to other regions of Minor’s businesses. His/her roles also cover responses to national and international benchmarks in area of sustainable supply chain with continual improvement of applicable score and percentile ranking.

Main Responsibilities:

 Educate internal stakeholders and integrate sustainability into existing supply chain practices

·         Work closely with supply chain management teams to widen their experiences in sustainability lens

·         Work closely with supply chain management teams to integrate sustainability into their existing supply chain practices

·         Develop and maintain systematic database to capture needed sustainable supply chain indicators for reporting purpose

 Educate, assess, audit and improve tier 1 and non-tier 1 suppliers’ performance on sustainability

·         Arrange educational workshops on sustainability for targeted suppliers

·         Seek for applicable methodology to ensure sustainability and traceability among non-tier 1 suppliers

·         Develop and maintain online sustainability assessment of targeted suppliers

·         On-site audit targeted suppliers on sustainability with issued improvement plans where needed

·         Regularly follow up and cooperate with targeted suppliers to continually improve their performances on non-conformities of environment, occupational health and safety, and human rights

·         Roll out practical models or applicable tools of sustainable supply chain to other regions in order to expand reporting scope

Enhance sustainable supply chain in partnership with other companies

·         Arrange knowledge sharing for SCM colleagues in partnership with partner companies

·         Seek for partnership opportunities to streamline sustainable supply chain practices

Update on applicable environmental, occupational health and safety, and human rights laws, regulations and standards

·         Keep up-to-date applicable environmental, occupational health and safety, and human rights laws, regulations and standards to ensure suppliers’ compliances and continual improvement against those laws, regulations and standards

 Response to national and international benchmark questionnaires

·         Respond to national and international questionnaires e.g. DJSI, CDP, FTSE4Good, MSCI, SET Sustainability Award, etc.to continually improve company performances on sustainable supply chain

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

·         Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing)

·         Good interpersonal skill and able to communicate to all levels

·         Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work in high-demand situations

·         Self-learning and eager to learn new things

·         Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment

·         Ability to foster trust relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

·         Skill in networking with external stakeholders

Education:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in environment, occupational health and safety or related fields. Master’s Degree in related fields is a plus.

Experience:

·         Minimum 7-year progressive experiences in environment, occupational health and safety, human rights compliance and management system audits

·         Experience in improving performances of environment, occupational health and safety, human rights in upstream supply chain

·         Experience in responding to DJSI, CDP, FTSE4Good, etc.
