Minor Education is our new business unit that will establish Asian Institute of Hospitality Management in academic association with Les Roches Global Hospitality Education. Set to launch in September 2020, with campuses in Bangkok and Chonburi in Thailand, the institute is poised to become the leading hospitality education facility in Southeast Asia and will offer certificates, diplomas and bachelor degrees in hospitality management in academic association with Les Roches.

Job Description

The Academic Dean is responsible for program planning, assessment, and development of programs and services at all levels of the institute. He/she manages, hires and develops faculty to achieve institutional goals.  The Academic Dean drives excellence in teaching and learning through pedagogical innovations and solutions incorporating new technology, online, and blended options. The Academic Dean works in close collaboration with his/her colleagues at the School’s leadership level and with program managers, faculty development and faculty. He/she is responsible for student satisfaction and assuring that students achieve the learning outcomes identified.   He/she is a leader and team player with strong problem solving and communications skills. Has comfort level and passion working in an entrepreneurial, start-up.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a business-related discipline, alternatively a Master of Business Administration or equivalent degree with significant industry experience
  • Ability to understand and successfully work under a private university’s parameters of academic standards, P&L and business goals and objectives. Several years of managerial experience in the field of education at university level and in business environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and impact in an academic setting 
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment, operating with a start-up mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and fluency in spoken and written English 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multicultural teams and in an international environment
