Job Description

The Logistics Officer - Risk Management will manage for domestic/ international shipments and provide support for many steps of the import and export processes. Individual will work with Suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal/ external clients.

Knowledge of international trade and communication skills are critical as this individual will work for assignments that require cross-department collaboration to achieve results.

 

     Main Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and Process shipments assuring timely delivery, correctness and cost competitiveness.
  • Monitor of the shipments to ensure the compliance of regulations.
  • Search for possibilities to reduce taxes ex. Free trade agreement.
  • Interact with freight forwarder, customs brokers, domestic carrier representatives, insurance and claims adjusters.
  • Create domestic and international invoices for shipments.
  • Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of imports and exports.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service satisfaction with internal/external customers.
  • Monitoring transportation providers to assure most cost effective and appropriate method of transportation is being used.
  • Obtain necessary certifications and documentations for custom clearance e.g. FDA license, LPI, Import License etc.
  • Work on special projects or assignments as needed

Qualifications

Education:

·         Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, International business or Logistics and Supply Chain management.

Experience:

·         1 year of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties of the position.

Qualifications:

·         Diversified background with experience in Logistics, Import/Export (Food and/or Non-Food) or Supply Chain Management.

·         Understand of supply chain ERP system (Such as Oracle)

·         Good Excel skills and Office suite

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Able to work within a fast paced demanding environment

·         Effective prioritising & time management skills

·         Exposure to procurement is a plus

·         Flexible, with a strong work ethic and willing to take on additional responsibilities when required

·         Good oral and written skills - English
