Job Description

You will take the lead on controlling of inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances.  Establishing adequate controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets.  Maintaining up-to-date account analysis and reconciliations.  Maintaining accurate and timely financial and operating information. Identifies training needs, develops formal training plans and conducts training sessions for finance and operational colleagues in co-ordination with other departments. Establishes and maintains effective employee relations. Follow-up on capital expenditures to ensure compliance with original justification and approval. Maintains professional and technical competence. Assists in implementing and maintaining acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by Anantara policy, and generally accepted accounting practices. Performs any other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field & professional accounting qualification
  • Minimum 5 years experience at managerial level that includes:
  • Track record of driving hotel finance performance.
  • Strong technical accounting, finance & taxation skills.
  • Preparation, review, analysis & presentation of management & statutory reporting.
  • Extensive Knowledge of hotel internal controls.
  • Knowledge of budget process.
  • Team Management, with ability to meet tight deadlines & coach team.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Rebranding/pre-opening experience & having set up and managed a cluster finance operation is an advantage.
  • English skills: excellent verbal and written communication is required.
  • Computer literate, including systems implementation & knowledge of Sun, Opera & Micros
