Job Description

1.     Main Responsibilities

Asset registration for new assets

·         Supervise team  to

o   Obtain PO and invoices for new assets from AP team

o   Enter all information related to new assets into the system (currently Oracle)

o   Post to Asset Register and obtain Asset Number from the system

o   Analyze report and detail

 

 

Transfer of Assets

·  Supervise team  to

o   Obtain Transfer Forms from

§  FC and AFC for Hotel and Trading Groups

§ Outlets/Warehouses for Food Group

o   Ensure all required fields are filled (e.g. asset number)

o   Enter information from Transfer form into the system (currently Oracle)

o   Generate ‘Fixed Asset Transfer Report’ and reconcile with Transfer forms

o   Analyze report and detail

 

Disposal of Assets

       ·  Supervise team  to

o   Obtain Disposal forms with supporting documents from

§ FC, AFC and GM for Hotel and Trading Groups

§ Outlets for Food Group

o   Enter details of asset disposal and write-off  into the system (currently Oracle)

o   Calculate gain/loss on disposal

o   Generate ‘Fixed Asset Disposal Report’ and reconcile with Disposal Forms

o   Analyze report and detail

 

Depreciation of Assets

     

·         Supervise team to

o   Calculate depreciation for Fixed Asset and post to GL

o   Compare information on GL with Trial Balance and make adjustments as necessary

o   Post on Share Drive

o   Report  Depre and gain loss - Analyze

 

Project Management

 

       New shops, Hotel before operations, Project events

·  Supervise team to

o   Obtain CAPEX approval and Project Accounting template from relevant parties

o   Open project code and enter all required information in the system (currently Oracle)

o   Send Project Accounting number to users

o   Assign names to each asset and transfer to Fixed Asset module in the system (currently Oracle)

o   Reconcile project costs with GL and make adjustments as necessary

 

 

Prepare audit package

·  Supervise team to

o   Load Trial Balance for Fixed Asset

o   TB & FA Reconcile by account code

o   Post on Share Point and send to Consolidation team

o   Note  PPE and Intangible

o   Due  Internal and External Audit

 

Print stickers and barcodes

·  Supervise team to

o   Print asset tags from the system (currently Oracle) and send to BU

o   Report Physical count  coordinate result final report

 

Develop, coach, and engage Fixed Asset team members

·   Review team’s performance on a frequent basis

o   Analyse areas for improvements based on frequent reviews

o   Develop and monitor implementation of improvement initiatives

·   Support team and perform tasks individually when needed

·   Ensure high levels of team motivation, morale and teamwork

·   Build organisation

o   Provide development opportunities to staff to build capabilities

o   Coach direct reports and key talents to deliver on individual performance

o   Support  Line Manager

 

Qualifications

Education:

·         Bachelor Degree in Accounting

Experience:

·         3-5 years of experience in Accounting Fixed Asset

Qualifications:

  •  Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc)
  • Able to communicate in English
  • Decisive; flexible; highly adaptable; effective in fast paced and rapidly evolving environment
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels within and outside of organization
