KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Attends to all repair and maintenance of various electrical and electronic systems.
2.    Conduct PPM as required and as per schedule
3.    Carries out the repair and maintenance of all electronic systems and equipment such as In-House movie system, In-House music system, Paging system, Intercom system, Walkie-Talkie system, Audio and Video, Projection equipment.
4.    Carries out PPM, maintenance, and repairs of IPTV, SMATV system, TVs and other related equipment 
5.    Checking and defect rectification of PCBs and all related electronic components of various equipment and systems wherever applicable 

6.    Assists HLP Engineer to prepare spare parts lists of electronic equipment.

7.    Advises on improvements to the present system in order to optimize quality and operating efficiency.

8.    Coordinates repair work on the fax machine/ circuits and coordinates with telephone technician on same.

9.    Attends to electrical operation and maintenance work in the absence of electricians as required.

10.    Participates in Energy Conservation Programme.

11.    Attends to all types of repair and maintenance work in the Hotel premises including any new additional/ extensions.

12.    Carries out repairs and maintenance of all telephone exchanges, telephone instruments and network including operator’s consoles.

13.    Attends to modifications/ additions to the present system and installation of the new system as required.

14.    Coordinates with local telephone company personnel in consultation with the HLP Engineer for supervision of Telephone/ Fax Services for special functions or delegations.

15.    Coordinates repair work of Fax Systems and machines with the local telephone company.

16.    Responsible for compliance with the Hotel Health and Safety Policy.

17.    Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

18.    Responsible for servicing and attending to repairs on various types of electrical equipment such as laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, including motors, pumps, fans, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plant and electricity generators.
19.    Attends to repairs and maintenance of electrical circuits in all areas.
20.    Attends to Preventive Maintenance on electrical panels/ equipment.
21.    Operates Audio, Video and TV equipment as requested.
22.    Advises on improvements to present electrical systems.
23.    Carries out the weekly fire alarm test.
24.    Carries out monthly fire extinguisher check.
25.    Participates in Energy Conservation Programme.
26.    Ensures that the Plant Room workshop and related areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
27.    Attends to all types of repair and maintenance work including any new additional/ extensions 
28.    Follow and implement engineering standards and engineering directives from Director of Engineering 
 

• Diploma in Industrial Training Institure or  relevant educational course for at least 2 years.
• Minimum 2 – 5 years of experience in 4 - 5* Hotel operation.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Good communicator and able to handle guest complaints.
• Capability to organize, execute  preventive maintenance schedules and to carry out technical fault-findings.
