Job Description

Program/ Project Management:

  • Identify, prioritize, and monitor all IT projects for Food Group.

  • Ensure appropriate formulation and definition of project scope and objectives based on both customer needs and the needs and requirements of Food Group.

  • Prioritize requests for new IT solutions and services in light of existing standards, demands, staffing levels and policies.

  • Implement IT guidelines and procedures for project planning and management.

  • Personally manage larger or more complex projects, as appropriate or requested by the Director IT  or Chief Information Officer.

  • Deliver projects and requests within budget and time constraints. 

  • Regularly inform and update Director IT, Chief Information Officer, and other appropriate managers regarding plans, issues, budgets, schedules, and the like pertaining to Information Technology.

  • Oversee the development and publication of progress and other reports to communicate status, issues, etc. of IT related projects, support of IT applications and systems, and any other information; assures that management is kept apprised of business systems activities, plans and performance issues for all information technology activities within the
    MINOR Group.

  • Attend appropriate meetings along with members of the team and prepare accurate notes of outcomes and follow up activity as required.

  • Interact with business users as required.

  • Remain abreast of new information technology developments in MINOR related business and revise operations to ensure that future end-customer and business needs are anticipated. Either personally, or through subordinate staff, assure the development and maintenance of the highest possible levels of expertise in information technology solutions that
    are used in MINOR’s industries.

  • Assist in Develop and present proposals for new and revised information technology solutions that will improve the operating efficiencies of, or the availability of timely information to, the MINOR Group related to IT

  • Recommend changes and additions to information technology solutions and prepare and makes presentations of recommendations for user department review and approval.

  • Identify and recommend appropriate upgrades to application software, hardware or other tools, as appropriate.

  • Determine priorities, schedules, plans, and necessary resources to ensure completion of any relevant projects on schedule and according to specification. 

  • Confirm workload priority with key business users to gain their support and approval.

  • Communicate estimated resources required for requested projects.

  • Recommend retaining the services of consultants and other outsiders when appropriate to achieve cost efficiencies or provide services outside the capabilities of the MINOR IT team, specifically, or MINOR IT from a broader perspective.

  • Direct the relationship with vendors providing information systems products and services to the MINOR Group.

  • Identify processes and activities for users to fully utilize IT systems deployed within the MINOR Group and assist the business in improving / enhancing existing business processes to realize the full potential of IT solutions implemented within the MINOR Group business.

  • Assist in overseeing the communication and training of users within the MINOR Group in the capability and requirements of the IT applications and systems utilized by the MINOR Group businesses.

processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service to the MINOR Group.

Perform other special projects as requested by the Director IT Food Group and Chief Information
Officer or other MINOR senior management.

 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and expertise in information technology applications, systems, and technologies.

  • Demonstrated commitment to improving service performance.

  • Management capability to deal with complex technical and business related issues.

  • Proficiency in formal project management methodologies, including internal documentation,
    external communications and stakeholder engagement, and use of project management tools.

  • Strong project management capabilities to effectively plan, manage, and monitor numerous
    projects simultaneously with demonstrated success in coordinating and managing
    several concurrent projects.

  • Ability to manage project budget and costing with ROI analysis

  • Demonstrated business acumen and excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and
    business focused skills.

  • Proven people management capabilities – virtual team management with cultural sensitivity and
    coaching.

  • Good human relation skills to effectively interact with personnel throughout the Information
    Technology and customer departments with good oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a changing environment under pressure and within challenging timescales.

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English language both spoken and written.

     

    Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or any related fields

     

    Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in planning, designing, implementing and maintaining
    systems/applications in a large international company.
