Job Description

Overall Purpose

The SCM QA & Food Safety Manager will report directly to the Suppy Chain Management Director and support on quality assurance, food safety and technical support for Minor Hotel Group. Expert in analytical, quality assurance/control, and people skills are critical, as this individual will lead assignments that require across-department collaboration to achieve results.

The position is responsible for supervising team to utilize optimized quality network of supply chain scenarios in response to business unit and customer requirements. Liaison with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the quality management program/audit function properly and when appropriate advice on how to implement quality program and provide training support, tools, and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards. 

       Assure food safety audit has been performed according to the audit program

·         Assure supplier’s capabilities and technology are met MHG’s standard and food safety audit guideline

·         Support new supplier selection, and audit process according to MHG’s standard

·         Perform on suppliers audit and follow up non- conformance issues from the supplier audit of food and beverage and Non-food suppliers

·         Develop current and new suppliers to achieve MHG’s standard

·         Provide technical support to develop and improve product qualities and process

·         Define, develop and implement QA best practices to include test plans and process

·         Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies

·         Maintain / organize/ review technical specification

·         Work closely with SCM-Hotel Sourcing & SCM - Hotel Operation as well as Properties in order to ensure a smooth operations

·         Assist and support Suppy Chain Management Director and Global Supply Chain Management team

·         Continually look for new information sources, which will provide and update information on food safety and quality assurance

Overall management of quality assurance and food safety for supply chain


·         Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science/ Food Technology or related or 7+years related experience

·         Diversified background with experience in QA and Food Safety

·         Excellent communication skills across all levels within and outside of organization

·         Solid judgment to know what is appropriate for the organization’s size/scope

·         Provide support and train to staff to build risk awareness within organisation

·         Decisive; flexible; highly adaptable; effective in fast paced and rapidly evolving environment

·         Good Command of English and computer literacy
