Job Description

Data Analytics and Insights:

• Design and develop core machine learning algorithms and supporting tools used across multiple production personalization and recommendation algorithms
• Research and develop Deep Learning solutions for adaptive recommendations using various tools e.g. TensorFlow
• Research and implement counterfactual evaluation techniques to measure impact of recommendation systems
• Design and develop large scale Machine Learning pipeline and evaluation framework using various tools
• Work with the business to understand data requirements and make strategic recommendations.
• Use real-time technologies (e.g. Kafka and Spark Streaming with Scala) to analyse sales transactions as well as other operational and marketing metrics
• Build predictive analytics using statistics and machine learning techniques on R and/or Python
• Implement structured and unstructured data pre-processing and transformation using R, Python, and Spark.
• Design and Implemented machine learning algorithms using tools like Python, Spark and related technologies in Big Data production environment.


IT Digital

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships between the MINOR Group business and MINOR Information Technology personnel in order to identify business needs and critical success factors.
• Study, design, and source for data analytic software and hardware that best-fit to MINOR Group business requirements.
• Manage vendors and/or suppliers in the areas of digital platforms, data handling, predictive/prescriptive analytics as required.
• Understand the key technical aspects of the development process for websites, mobile applications, email marketing, online advertising, online performance measurement, and integration of back-end systems.
• Define and log issues and/or risks, create a mitigation plan and actively manage them.
• Regularly inform and update Vice President IT Digital, Chief Information Officer, MINOR Group business managers and other appropriate managers regarding plans, issues, budgets, schedules, and the like pertaining to analytics, digital transformation, and information technology.
• Oversee the development and publication of progress and other reports to communicate status, issues, etc. of Digital and IT related projects, support of IT applications and systems, and any other information; assures that management is kept apprised of business systems activities, plans and performance issues for all data management and analytic activities within the MINOR Group.
• Attend appropriate meetings along with members of the team and prepare accurate notes of outcomes and follow up activity as required.
• Interact with business users as required.
• Remain abreast of new data analytics, digital and information technology developments in MINOR related business and revise operations to ensure that future end-customer and business needs are anticipated. Either personally, or through subordinate staff, assure the development and maintenance of the highest possible levels of expertise in Digital and information technology solutions that are used in MINOR’s industries.
• Assist in improving and enhancing Minor’s digital solutions including strategy, architecture, User Experiences, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and analytics.
• Assist in Develop and present proposals for new and revised information technology solutions that will improve the operating efficiencies of, or the availability of timely information to, the MINOR Group related to Digital
o Recommend changes and additions to information technology solutions and prepare and makes presentations of recommendations for user department review and approval.
o Identify and recommend appropriate upgrades to application software, hardware or other tools, as appropriate.
o Determine priorities, schedules, plans, and necessary resources to ensure completion of any relevant projects on schedule and according to specification. 
o Confirm workload priority with key business users to gain their support and approval.
o Communicate estimated resources required for requested projects.
• Recommend retaining the services of consultants and other outsiders when appropriate to achieve cost efficiencies or provide services outside the capabilities of the MINOR IT team, specifically, or MINOR IT from a broader perspective.
• Direct the relationship with vendors providing information systems products and services to the MINOR Group.
• Monitor digital vendor performance on an ongoing basis; discuss and address issues of vendor performance with vendors.
• Identify processes and activities for users to fully utilize IT systems deployed within the MINOR Group and assist the business in improving / enhancing existing business processes to realize the full potential of IT & Digital solutions implemented within the MINOR Group business.
• Assist in overseeing the communication and training of users within the MINOR Group in the capability and requirements of the Digital and IT applications and systems utilized by the MINOR Group businesses.


Digital Policies and Strategies:
• Assist to cascade, comply, and help to develop MINOR Group’s policies as they relate to the Digital marketplace and related information technology deployed within the MINOR Group businesses.
• Assist in develop, implement, maintain, and improve IT policies over the long, medium and short term period that support MINOR business objectives.
• Assist in develop, execute, and monitor Digital strategy for MINOR Group businesses.

Communication
• Communicate effectively using many written forms.
• Choose the appropriate vehicle and tone most appropriate for the message to be delivered.
• Express thoughts clearly in all verbal communications, one on one, or in any size group.
• Conduct meetings, verbally guiding and informing others.

Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service to the MINOR Group.

Perform other special projects as requested by the Vice President IT Digital and Chief Information Officer or other MINOR senior management.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Proficient with statistical packages (R, SAS, and SPSS) ,computer languages(C++, Spark, Python and SQL) and big data services (Hadoop, Cloudera, Mapr, HIVE, Flume,etc.)
• Strong knowledge and expertise in Digital, eCommerce, and information technology applications, systems, and technologies.
• Demonstrated commitment to improving service performance.
• Management capability to deal with complex technical and business-related issues.
• Proficiency in formal project management methodologies, including internal documentation, external communications and stakeholder engagement, and use of project management tools.
• Strong project management capabilities to effectively plan, manage, and monitor numerous projects simultaneously with demonstrated success in coordinating and managing several concurrent projects.
• Ability to manage project budget and costing with ROI analysis
• Demonstrated business acumen and excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and business focused skills.
• Proven people management capabilities – virtual team management with cultural sensitivity and coaching.
• Good human relation skills to effectively interact with personnel throughout the Information Technology and customer departments with good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a changing environment under pressure and within challenging timescales.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English language both spoken and written.

Education:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, IT, or any related fields

Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in planning, designing, implementing and maintaining data analytic applications and frameworks in a large international company.
