It is an extremely exciting time here at HM Courts and Tribunals Service. We are currently undertaking a first-of-its-kind Change Programme aimed at delivering pioneering judicial services that better serve the public, and with over £1 Billion of funding this is the most ambitious programme of its kind anywhere in the world.

The Civil, Family and Tribunals Services Programme within Change are developing a range of digital services to support the resolution of civil, family and tribunals cases fairly and speedily, and give new routes to justice which will in time comprise the ‘online court’.

As an experienced Programme Manager, you will have responsibility for managing a number of interdependent, large scale, complex or contentious projects. This will include the associated business change activities and establishing appropriate governance and assurance processes, monitoring progress, monitoring risks and issues and ensuring the business readiness for change. The role requires professional expertise in the effective use of programme management methodologies and techniques. You will be responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the projects within the programme. You will have effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Essential Criteria:
  • Experience of leading large scale, complex or contentious projects, programmes or portfolios
  • Knowledge and understanding of project delivery practice
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work across boundaries to influence and gain confidence of senior project delivery leaders and sponsors
  • A track record in delivering major or complex projects and programmes

  • Experience of working in the project delivery profession in central government
