Job Title: Web Production Associate

Location: NYC

Job Description:

We are looking for a web-savvy, highly organized individual with excellent technical and communication skills to join production team. The Web Production Associate is an entry-level position responsible for hand-coding content from source material quickly, efficiently, and accurately. Our ideal candidate would possess one to two years experience professional web production experience. Additionally, experience in the Production department at a medical journal or book publishing company is a plus.

Required Skills:

? Excellent knowledge of HTML/XHTML (hand coding and use of text editor) and XML
? Ability to optimize graphics for web usage using Photoshop
? Proven experience adhering to web production standards
? Ability to work as part of a team
? Ability to follow instructions
? Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
? Excellent problem solving skills
? Strong communication skills
? Previous experience in medical/scientific journal or book publishing company

Software programs:
? Photoshop
? QuarkXPress
? Adobe Acrobat Professional
? Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Programming languages:
? HTML or XHTML (required, must be able to hand code)
? XML (must be able to hand code)
