Supervises unlicensed laboratory staff and clinical laboratory scientists in training.
Coordinates with other clinical laboratory scientists, including coordinators for
safety and quality control.
Follows Standard Operating Procedures for specimen processing, performing test procedures, data analysis and reporting test results.
Performs appropriate QA/QC procedures.
Operates and maintains equipment and instruments according to manufacturer and Monogram Clinical Reference Lab (MCRL) established procedures including:
o Analysis of clinical specimens
o Calibration
o Preventive maintenance
o Troubleshooting

Qualifications:• BS/BA
in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory and laboratory
training/experience in specialties related to molecular biology,
virology, and /or tissue culture. • Requires current State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
