Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Actively leads the design team and is recognized by stakeholders as Design's single Point-of-Contact.
  • Acts as scrum master for Design team backlog: attends release planning, runs standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies, as required.
  • Tracks all major project milestones and deliverables.
  • Ensures that design sprint plans meet broader timelines for any dependencies with our technology organization and business partners.
  • Oversees design resource allocation, ensuring design resources are not over or under allocated.
  • Coordinates contracts, milestones and deliverables with external agencies.
  • Identifies project risks and formulates and implements risk mitigation techniques to minimize issues.
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle project ambiguity and lead delivery teams to identify creative solutions.
  • Schedules and manages team meetings and communicates assignments to ensure timely delivery, while also ensuring meetings are efficient and minimized
  • Supports the design team's implementation of standards and design guidelines
  • Prepares management reporting, including status, project health and financials
  • Ensures all applicable reviews and sign-offs are in place
  • Creates partnerships with Product and Technology organizations, to drive end-to-end execution

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of applicable industry experience, preferably in project and program management
  • Agile experience desired. SCRUM master certification is a plus.
  • User Experience background is required.
  • Excellent communications & interpersonal skills
