Job Description
Software Engineer with a passion for building world-class experiences for large audiences. The position includes opportunities to work with state-of-the-art web technologies and large-scale infrastructure. This is a great position if you like creating customer solutions with hands-on development in addition to improving core software infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has experience building large-capacity consumer-facing websites, experience working with new technologies, and a desire to build great products for new and expecting parents.
Duties
· Collaborate with team members to develop consumer and sales features of the highest quality within promised timelines.
· Actively participate in team agile planning and retrospectives to decompose requirements and estimate stories
· Create automated tests for key features and collaborate with the team Quality Analyst to ensure any feature developed is fully tested.
· Validate feature success through instrumentation and monitoring.

Requirements
· 5+ years delivering engineering web solutions in Java/Spring/Hibernate
· Demonstrable experience in service-oriented architecture
· Experience implementing typical Model, DAO, Service, and Controller patterns
· Previous experience developing fast, reliable code operating on a large scale
· Demonstrable experience as a strong problem solver with ability to quickly understand new technologies
· Strong, professional communication skills
· Experience in working in a cross-functional, team-based agile environment
· Bachelor’s or Master’s computer science degree, or equivalent experience

Preference given to candidates who meet these criteria
· Experience with GIT and gitflow
· Experience in Selenium WebDriver
· Spring MVC, Tiles, Jsp rendering
· Experience designing and creating REST web services
· Client-side web programming (JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, XML)
