Prepares laboratory specimens for laboratory analysis and testing. Open specimen bags, enter inventory, patient demographics, and test codes into the computer system. Label specimens and requisitions and pours off serum and urine into appropriate containers. May be responsible for sorting specimens, expediting specimens to appropriate departments for testing and scanning specimen into storage on the computer system.
