Job Title: Estimator

Duration: 2+ years

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL

Job Description:

• Prefers construction estimating experience in an Electrical Utility environment

• Winest experience is required (might consider candidates who have experience in a tool that is similar to Winest for estimating)

• Cost Estimating background is important, but not required

• Will need to be able to read the scope document and engineering drawings to come up with an estimate that is as accurate as possible (ComEd does estimates based on phases and therefore the accuracy is different based on the phases)

Day-to-day:

• Project estimate form submitted along with associated documents (scope, engineering drawings, etc);

• Estimator will review all documentation provided by the requestor;

• might go on site walk down with engineering and/or PM in order to ascertain site information;

• also involved in scheduling and leading the challenge meetings with all of the stakeholders to review the scope and go over the estimate once the project hits the appropriate phase.

Education: Prefers Bachelors’ degree (preferably science/engineering degree), but will consider experience in lieu of a degree
