Job Description:

  • Editor will work in the Client office under the direction of senior staff to assign, edit and oversee publication of a large number of articles about medical conditions.
  • Must be able to quickly research complex medical topics.
  • Must be able to work closely with medical reviewers.
  • Ability to edit in a warm, supportive tone with friendly language is critical.
  • Must understand and be able to implement SEO best practices.
  • This is a long-term project with strict deadlines.

Required Skills:

  • Strong word editing
  • Understanding of friendly language
  • Understanding of SEO
  • Experience in assigning, working with freelance writers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to meet deadline without fail.

Desired (not required) Skills:

  • Consumer magazine editing
  • Health/medical/condition writing/editing experience

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years' experience in content assigning, editing and production.
  • Knowledge of CMS functionality
