Job Description:
- Editor will work in the Client office under the direction of senior staff to assign, edit and oversee publication of a large number of articles about medical conditions.
- Must be able to quickly research complex medical topics.
- Must be able to work closely with medical reviewers.
- Ability to edit in a warm, supportive tone with friendly language is critical.
- Must understand and be able to implement SEO best practices.
- This is a long-term project with strict deadlines.
Required Skills:
- Strong word editing
- Understanding of friendly language
- Understanding of SEO
- Experience in assigning, working with freelance writers
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to meet deadline without fail.
Desired (not required) Skills:
- Consumer magazine editing
- Health/medical/condition writing/editing experience
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years' experience in content assigning, editing and production.
- Knowledge of CMS functionality
