Title: Engineer I
Duration: 12 Months

Location: Chicago, IL

Job Description:

Required to have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years engineering experience performing program and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for preparing and revising engineering documents with minimal supervision. Updates engineering data and notes. Incorporates review comments and walk down data into associated engineering products, databases and programs. Supports engineering work functions in support of applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements. Manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs, product construction and testing. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.

Position Requirements:

• Perform control system integration and application programming/configuration, including Emerson Ovation applications including graphic displays, alarm/events, trends, and historian functions

• Serve as technical expert and interface with Emerson

• Specify and design drawings for PLC and ovation controller units control and SCADA systems for water/wastewater and other industrial processes

• Review submittals, shop drawings and RFIs for control systems, control system panels, and related network and electrical equipment

• Coordinate work on multiple projects, and work with the project engineering staff consisting of engineers, designers, drafters and other support personnel

• Estimate construction costs for instrumentation and control system equipment and systems

• Scope new control system projects and prepare related engineering estimates

Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical or Controls Engineering

• Minimum 10 years of experience

• Must be proficient with implementing controls software and connecting HMI
