Job Description

We are seeking a self-driven, creative, and detail-oriented mental health professional who is excited by the prospect of contributing to a positive change in mental health access and care across India.

Your role as the Associate - Psychology and Advocacy will involve: 

Therapeutic Engagement: 

  • Providing psychotherapy to individuals/couples presenting mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflicts, and grief (to name a few).

  • Understanding the client's context and finding appropriate methods to support their distress by addressing the thought processes, feelings, and/or behavior.

  • Treatment planning, and building & maintaining robust case documentation. 

  • Maintaining a high quality of professional conduct in-line with Mind Piper’s organizational standards. 

  • Supporting in planning for psychoeducational workshops and trainings

Advocacy and Community Engagement: 

  • Providing assistance to the marketing & communications team in designing and implementing outreach campaigns to build awareness of mental health and our services nationwide. This would entail amplifying Mind Piper’s voice as an authentic, inclusive, and credible mental health organization. 

  • Building and maintaining authentic working relationships and networking with mental health professionals & institutions in the impact sector. 

  • Proactively engaging in content creation around mental health awareness

We are looking for a teammate who will help realize our mission of ending mental health inequity and be a part of our collaborative team that likes to bring about systemic change while having fun.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Degree in Psychology with a specialization in clinical or counselling psychology, along with at least 6 months of full-time experience in the mental health field, and a maximum of 24 months of full-time experience.

  • Work experience must entail -  providing individualized therapy to young adults, in a non - pro bono capacity in a clinic, organization, or private practice

  • Strong verbal & written communication (English and Hindi) and interpersonal skills with an ability to present and convey ideas clearly and confidently

  • Deep interest, curiosity, and desire to positively contribute to the mental health sector and sensitivity & thoughtfulness when communicating with people experiencing mental health concerns

Note:

The position is a full-time role requiring a commitment of at least 2 years and relocation to Delhi. Depending on the situation of the pandemic, the team members take a joint call on the mode of engagement to ensure the implementation of necessary safeguards & measures for the safety of all members.
