Back-end/Full-stack Developer

The Back-end/Full-stack Developer will be helping with rapid integration of new products as well as maintenance of Gait Up's web-based motion-sensing platforms. 

• Create optimized, maintainable and testable web applications supporting our sports, healthcare and life science application platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional team tech leads to define software architectures
• Ensure cross-platform optimization with mobile phones
• Create and manage application servers and databases
• Maintain our existing web-based motion-sensing platforms
• Desire to follow the emerging trends in full-stack technology
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of best-in-class products needed to successfully implement new designs

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, Master’s preferred
• Back-end/Full-stack development experience
• Strong experience with writing high-quality, testable, and well-documented code
• Interest and motivation to work in a dynamic startup environment
• Expertise in web development using Node.js, AWS and Docker
• Comfortable in working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), as well as document, stores (MongoDB, CouchDB)
• Experience with large scale software projects - source code control, continuous integration and documentation
• Fluent in spoken and written English, and have some good knowledge in French

Considered a plus :

• Personal interest for sports and clinical applications
• Experience writing/shipping code with modern web application frameworks
• Full-stack skills: AngularJS, React, JavaScript, CSS (SASS/SCSS), and HTML
• Experience in UI and UX implementation
• Experience in mobile application development
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and libraries (D3.js, Dimple, Google Visualization API, etc.)
• Background of medical quality (ISO13485, IEC 62304) and data privacy standards (HIPAA)
