Job Description
Are you looking to work in a faced paced multicultural environment? Join our existing financial team and help improve the financial processes in our start-up.
You will:
- Manage the full account payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment: including coding invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approvals and entering the invoices into the accounting system
- Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices
- Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Process employee expense reports, including verification of receipts and coding
- Be responsible for monthly accounts payable journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure all account payable policies and procedures adhere to travels and related expenses, PO approvals and invoices processing
- Be responsible for scanning, recording and for the retention of all accounts payable documents
- Manage vendor relations and build effective partnerships
- Partner with Corporate controller to identify and implement process improvements
- Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders
- Receive, research and resolve variety of routine internal and external accounts payable inquiries concerning accounts status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to the appropriated persons
- Support the accounting department in miscellaneous tasks

Your qualifications
- High School Diploma or CFC; Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
- 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
