Job Description

Are you looking to work in a faced paced multicultural environment? Join our existing financial team and help improve the financial processes in our start-up.

You will:  

  • Manage the full account payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment: including coding invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approvals and entering the invoices into the accounting system
  • Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices
  • Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
  • Process employee expense reports, including verification of receipts and coding
  • Be responsible for monthly accounts payable journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure all account payable policies and procedures adhere to travels and related expenses, PO approvals and invoices processing
  • Be responsible for scanning, recording and for the retention of all accounts payable documents
  • Manage vendor relations and build effective partnerships
  • Partner with Corporate controller to identify and implement process improvements
  • Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders
  • Receive, research and resolve variety of routine internal and external accounts payable inquiries concerning accounts status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to the appropriated persons
  • Support the accounting department in miscellaneous tasks

Your qualifications

  • High School Diploma or CFC; Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
