To strengthen its creative department, MindMaze is searching for an experienced Artistic Director, who will answer to the head of engineering, and work on all MindMaze products in close collaboration with MindMaze’s engineering, clinical and marketing teams as well as patients and customers in the medical field.

Job Description

As MindMaze’s Artistic / Creative Director, you will manage the artistic team and work on product and content design, as well as marketing / promotional initiatives, to create a cohesive, recognizable brand statement.

You will:

  • Be responsible for the artistic direction given to MindMaze projects;
  • Design an entertaining world adapted to the medical and rehabilitation domain;
  • Create detailed design briefs on which MindMaze product development will be based;
  • Review graphic material to assess validity and appropriateness for the MindMaze brand;
  • Maintain graphic consistency across all deliverables;
  • Work closely with MindMaze’s User experience specialist for product phase definitions, prototyping and realization;
  • Collaborate with management to develop an aesthetic and brand that reflects the company’s core values;
  • Collaborate with MindMaze’s marketing department to create an original graphic tone and manage visual content for the company’s website, social media pages and other marketing material;
  • Collaborate with the engineering department to develop products with an inspiring industrial design;
  • Break projects down into clear and ambitious milestones and ensure both deadlines and the budget are consistently respected;
  • Provide mentorship and training to your team members;
  • Collaborate with HR to search for the new talent that will grow with MindMaze;
  • Delegate projects to the in-house team of digital artists;
  • Promote and nurture the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and compliance, and actively support our compliance program-related initiatives and activities.

Qualifications

  • Extremely well organized, with a strong focus on detail, and the ability to set levels of detail-orientation that you require colleagues to meet;
  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced, ever-changing business environment; Displaying a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems;
  • A good sense of humor and at ease working both autonomously and as being part of a team.

Essential skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in art and engineering or a scientific field, or equivalent;
  • Significant experience of artistic direction of projects;
  • First hand familiarity with working with game designers and producers in the game industry;
  • Very good knowledge of game design;
  • Expertise of illustration and concept Art;
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Extensive experience with Autodesk Maya or 3DS Max;
  • Aware of the latest news and technological innovations in your domain;
  • Minimum C1 level of French and English;
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Icing on the cake:

  • Experience in VR, AR, and MR;
  • Prior experience of working in a rehabilitation or medical company;
  • Prior exposure to a Holocratic organisation.
