Job Description

As a senior research scientist, you will be part of the core R&D team and will work closely with  hardware, firmware and software teams. You will be contributing towards implementation of System-on-Chip solution for existing and future hardware needs at MindMaze. 

You will:

  • Coordinate with the hardware team: Take part in the Architecture design, evaluate system level specifications and optimize the design prior to industrialization;
  • Drive the Chip design: Study and evaluate different commercial System-in-Package and System-on-Chip solutions prior to mapping hardware onto an integrated chip;
  • Chip design and test documentation: Write requirements, test plans, test record documents, control traceability and participate in risk analysis;
  • Coordinate with the firmware team: For efficient software-hardware co-design, work with the firmware team to optimize the embedded code on the hardware prototypes;
  • Form strategic partnerships: Connect with various IC design and Manufacturing companies in Europe/US and form strategic partnerships;
  • Research proposals: Write research grants by collaborating with academic and industrial partners;
  • Participate in product development;

Qualifications

  • PhD in Electrical/Computer engineering related to Chip design;
  • 5-10 years of experience in Research and Development;
  • Experience in Mixed signal IC design;
  • Knowledge in hardware implementation of Machine learning algorithms at the node;
  • Experience in writing research publications and grants;
  • Knowledge in hardware-software co-design;
  • Experience in industrial product development;
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Icing on the cake:

  • Experience in a start-up environment;
  • Experience in Lean product and process development;
  • Experience in writing patents.
