We are looking for C++/ Win Desktop applications/ QT developer for one of our clients located in West Flanders

General conditions:

• Start date: can be discussed but sooner the better.
• Hybrid policy: 2-3 days/week onsite in Kortrijk Belgium, 2-3 days/week from home
• Project duration: initial 6 months with extension
• Contract: freelance via Mind

Job description: 

- Development of user-facing elements (Qt) and client (Desktop) side business logic.
- Writing reusable, testable, efficient and maintainable code and writing the tests for your code.
- Contribute to our user-facing desktop application which controls and audits our healthcare displays.
- Analysis and refinement together with the team and the product owner.
- Work in an international environment and team setting.
- Provide detailed and constructive design and code reviews.

Profile
- Hands-on C++ object-oriented development experience.
- Experience with application development for desktops (mainly Windows OS).
- Be able to deliver an easy to deploy application
- Posses a skill set that spans the full development cycle from analysis, design, implementation and verification.
- Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming to integrate with devices (displays, sensors, ...)
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Work in close collaboration with fellow developers, our product owner and product managers and like to share your ideas and knowledge.
- Experience and understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Think from a user perspective and keep the UI simple and intuitive to use.

These are considered a plus:
- Experience with Qt is a big plus.
- Experience and affinity with UI and UX design is a plus but not the focus.
- Experience with medical device development.
