Our MDCS segment designs, manufactures and sells hot runner and process control systems, mold bases and components, and sells MRO supplies. Hot runner systems are custom-designed for each product a customer manufactures on an injection molding machine. Our Fluids segment is a global manufacturer of synthetic and semi-synthetic lubricants and coolants used in various industrial metalworking applications. We serve a diverse range of industries and have longstanding relationships with many of our over 27,000 customers and leading market shares in North America and in emerging markets, including China and India.
Job Description
Summary/Objective:
Milacron is currently seek a Plant Manager for the Mt. Orab Plant. The Plant Manager will report directly to the Director of Engineering and Manufacturing Operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain full responsibility for the facility with 300+ employees and $300 Million in sales.
• Identify overall business needs and develop strategic plans to satisfy those needs.
• Monitor the business performance throughout the year and initiate corrective action where necessary to ensure the facility meets defined goals through metrics and common/best practices.
• Assess current teams and assure the right people are in the right place. As necessary, attract, recruit and train high-caliber machinists, trades and professional talent.
• Assess current procedures and processes, develop suitable performance indicators, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to position facility as a best-in-class organization in its industry.
• Deliver customer satisfaction by continuous development and improvement in on-time delivery.
• Interact with customers to ensure all requirements are met; coordinate and resolve issues regarding existing and new products and services.
• Keep abreast of the latest technologies, competitive activities and industry development.
• Lead plant activities as a role model for Milacron’s mission, visions, and values.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required (Mechanical preferred). An MBA or advanced engineering degree is a plus.
• 10 years progressively responsible experience in operations management roles.
• Previous experience from leading and managing world class machine shop environment.
• Practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Operational Excellence principles. Technical understanding of the design and manufacturing of highly-engineered industrial products will be highly beneficial.
• Solid leadership and matrix team management skills.
• Experience upgrading teams, processes and systems coupled with effective problem solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
