Job Title: Project Quantity Surveyor
Location: Manchester
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum

Job description:

  • We are looking to recruit 3 driven and focused Project Quantity Surveyors to join the commercial team of 2 of our client’s highly successful and well known main contracting businesses
  • Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will take the lead on a wide range of projects across education, extra-care, commercial, residential high rise and student accommodation in new build and refurbishments across the North West.
  • Controlling of costs and minimising risk
  • Dealing with all the procurement, commercial and contractual aspects in relation to the construction project

Skills and Experience required:

  • Degree educated in Surveying
  • Experience of supporting new build projects for a main contractor from £10m to £30m
  • Experience of working on projects within education, extra-care and residential high-rise and student accommodation from project inception to handover to the client
  • Working knowledge of the various standard building contracts as well as standard method of measurement
  • Experience of preparing bill of quantities from material take-offs for packages to include groundworks, steelworks, brickworks and joinery packages up to final account
