Job Description

The Opportunity

  • Work with a highly skilled and motivated team in an Agile startup environment
  • Work closely with technology management to implement the company's strategic technology and business vision
  • Work as a core member of a team of data specialists, software engineers, and quality engineers
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize the company’s ETL processes
  • Design, configure, optimize and maintain company data servers (including SQL Server)
  • Work with business users/owners to review and refine requirements
  • Develop, recommend and discuss technical designs 
  • Analyze, document, and perform system configuration and setup as well as integration and system testing 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues 
  • Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of processes

    Qualifications

    The Skills and Attributes You Bring

    • 2+ years of industry experience 
    • Advanced knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and “big data” pipelines
    • Experience designing and building extremely efficient, reliable and scalable solutions for big data, especially on data quality, consumption and cleaning (ETL)
    • Development experience in C# and/or Python, data manipulation (SQL, U-SQL)
    • Experience with and love of Machine Learning techniques a HUGE plus
    • Database administration experience, including configuration, optimization, and scaling (SQL Server and Azure SQL Databases a big plus)
    • Experience working in an Agile team using Scrum (or similar methodology)
    • Experience with Azure, AWS, and cloud services/databases a big plus
    • Experience with Trifacta Wrangler and SSIS a plus
    • Experience with retail banking a plus
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • A positive attitude and willingness to learn!
