MicroStrategy, Inc. seeks Principal Software Engineer in Tysons Corner, VA:

Job Duties: Research, design, and develop customized decision support software applications and systems, applying strong analytical ability and knowledge of relational databases, programming languages and web technologies; Develop and analyze options for improving the performance of business functions by developing and evaluating enhancements and modifications of MicroStrategy’s proprietary software products; Specify business systems (inputs, outputs, data, human and automated interfaces) to meet information processing objectives for MicroStrategy’s proprietary software products; Examine MicroStrategy’s proprietary software products internally for their compliance with functional specifications; Develop procedures to apply new software enhancements and improvement upgrades effectively; and, Write and prepare new versions and releases of MicroStrategy’s proprietary software products that will be compatible with a variety of platforms and operating environments. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to MicroStrategy, Inc.’s Tysons Corner, VA office is required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in the job offered, or one (1) year of experience in the field of software engineering or program analysis.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) JavaScript; (2) SQL; (3) Algorithms and Data Structures; (4) Visual Basic; (5) Python; (6) Service Oriented Architecture; (7) Web Services; (8) SDLC.
