Job Description
The Role: The Director, Partner Marketing is responsible for supporting the execution of campaigns and programs that drive awareness, engagement and growth within MicroStrategy’s partner ecosystem.
The Focus:
- Build and manage marketing campaigns and programs that support MicroStrategy’s partner ecosystem vision, foster relationships with key partners and support the company’s growth goals.
- Collaborate across MicroStrategy sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective marketing programs that align to the Global Partner Organization business objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to partners on co-marketing initiatives to ensure consistent messaging, branding and execution.
- Coordinate and support partner involvement at events, trade shows, conferences, and webinars.
- Plan, coordinate and produce joint Marketing content with key Alliances: Cloud Hyperscalers, resellers and select ISVs and GSIs
- Produce Channel related content with TDS and other VARs/Reseller such as case studies and win wires to drive partner channel sales and awareness
- Actively promote partner engagement by planning and producing awareness activities such as content, events and campaigns
- Review and refine partner presence on MicroStrategy’s website, and MicroStrategy’s presence on partner websites
- Review and approve/reject submitted yearly marketing plans from partners in Partner Program on a global basis
- Coordinate and approve field events with partners in co-Marketing program globally
- Manage end-to-end all steps of matching co-Marketing program, including approved expenses and reimbursements to partners
- Monitor and manage all aspects of partner-driven sales leads from initial point of contact to closure
- Evaluate the success of marketing campaigns based on their performance in terms of reach, frequency, response rate, etc.
- Establish budgets, financial models, performance metrics, and tracking systems for regular analysis and reporting
- Coordinate and manage execution of partner sponsored conferences
- Act as the main interface between the Partner and MicroStrategy’s Marketing teams
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
- Exceptional oral, presentation and written communication skills Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability
- 5+ years global partner marketing experience in the B2B tech sector driving partner marketing pipeline and supporting revenue growth. Ability to translate business objectives into marketing plans that have clear metrics and KPIs.
- Strong track record of collaboration across functions and geographies.
- Experience creating co-marketing campaigns that support sales pipeline and revenue growth from demand generation through closed/won opportunities.
- Ability to plan, manage and implement several marketing programs simultaneously.
- A partner champion who articulates the value of the ecosystem to internal and external team members.
- 5+ years experience leading global GDPR and legal/ privacy compliant marketing programs.
- Experience using Salesforce, Marketo and other sales/marketing productivity tools.
- Experience in a high-growth, fast paced, agile enterprise software sales environment.
- Comfortable working in an ever-changing environment, including the ability to adapt as business priorities change.
- Experience managing key partner relationships to ensure execution plans are communicated and managed effectively both internally and externally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
