The Role:  We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Bitcoin and Lightning to lead our efforts in developing, implementing, and scaling Bitcoin and Lightning Network-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will partner with C-level executives in the company to develop a vision and strategy and lead a global engineering team to execute the development and delivery of an innovative portfolio of highly differentiated, SaaS-based platforms and products in the emerging crypto rewards and payment space. The ideal candidate will have the personal drive, passion and enthusiasm to both understand and successfully navigate a fast-growing company striving toward market leadership in an evolving marketplace.   

Your Focus:  

• Develop a comprehensive strategy for the company's involvement in the Bitcoin and Lightning ecosystems. 
• Provide visionary leadership by staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments. 
• Partner with the engineering and delivery teams to successfully deliver on product vision through the creation and effective ongoing development of world-class, highly differentiated technology offerings using an agile development process. 
• Possess a strong technical understanding of Bitcoin's underlying technology, Lightning Network, and related protocols. 
• Lead discussions on technical architecture, scalability, security, and network optimization. 
• Provide guidance to development teams and contribute to technical decision-making processes. 
• Partner with sales and service organizations to launch new solutions into the market and across the firm. 
• Lead the design, development, and launch of products and features related to Bitcoin and Lightning. 
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to create user-friendly interfaces that drive adoption and engagement. 
• Stay informed about evolving regulatory landscapes related to cryptocurrencies and ensure the company's products and services are compliant. 
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages growth and skill development. 

• Bachelor's degree or master's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred 
• 8 – 10 years of professional experience in enterprise technology; Product management and product owner roles preferred 
• Proven track record of leadership and strategic thinking in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. 
• Experience delivering product features that are strategically oriented and guarantee market differentiation. 
• Have a high degree of passion for taking products to market, including creating a high level of engagement with the sales and marketing functions. 
• Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and manage vendor relationships required. 
• Product management experience within an agile software development environment and experience in enterprise-oriented solutions required. 
• Experience presenting information to executive teams, both internally and externally. 
• Proven success in establishing credibility with senior executives internally and externally and the ability to inspire a customer base. 
• Possessing passionate product orientation and Strategic Vision and Planning of the product ownership process. 
• Experience in Bitcoin, Lightning, crypto as well as loyalty and reward programs a plus 
• Self-driven, motivated and results-oriented. 
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
