In this role, you will manage matters in the European region, with a potential for future increased geographic scope. You possess the skills and experience to execute a wide range of projects at the same time with minimal supervision and are also someone who can think around corners and develop creative, practical approaches to novel issues. While you thoroughly enjoy counseling, you also have a knack for litigation and investigations and the strategizing that comes with it. You will collaborate with business executives, human resources, and other Company personnel, providing excellent legal support.  You will implement policies and provide training to an international workforce.  While your focus will be employment and labor-related matters, you are excited to explore and contribute to other important areas as needed, including global mobility and corporate governance matters across multiple jurisdictions.

This job can be performed remotely with periodic visits to an office if this is preferred to office-based work.  Location is preferably in or near London, Paris, Madrid, or Warsaw.

  • Partner with Human Resources, Finance, and other internal clients to develop strategies for global mobility
  • Proactively support corporate ethics and compliance, including related to data privacy, by responding to inquiries and rights requests, recommending updates to policies, procedures, and agreements in response to legal or business changes, and planning and executing internal investigations (including preparing and delivering to internal business partners findings and recommendations)
  • Develop and deliver training to Human Resources and other business partners
  • Produce excellent written and oral work as needed in connection with the above and other assigned responsibilities

Required Experience and Skills

  • Experience with E.U. data privacy law (experience with data privacy laws outside of the E.U. is a plus)
  • Experience working with U.S.-headquartered publicly traded companies (experience participating in quarter and annual close process is a plus, but not required)
  • Self-starter who shows project ownership and enjoys working across departments
