Job Description

The Role: Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Director, Sales Enablement will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consumption of enablement tools and content.  The individual filling this role will be an exceptional communicator across all modes, and possess the ability to unlock the educational value of sales enablement resources for our global Sales teams.  The role requires significant cross-departmental collaboration and management, and an ability to influence and lead even across departments in which they do not have direct oversight.  With a passion for and deep understanding of sales, marketing, and enablement collateral creation, this role will be accountable for content creation and improvement, and driving sales productivity through the effective delivery and appropriate consumption of materials and tools.  Main focus areas: 

  • Empower the global sales team with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to effectively communicate the value and benefits of MSTR software.   
  • Provide comprehensive and up-to-date product information, sales training, and customer insights to help sales team increase knowledge, sharpen sales skills, and exceed customer expectations.   
  • Drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and strengthen our position as a leader as the only independent Enterprise Analytics Software provider.  

Your Focus: 

  • Conduct technical and business positioning and demonstrations of the MicroStrategy platform at important customer engagements or events.  
  • Identify ideal customer profile and create buyer personas to understand their needs, challenges, and pain points.  
  • Collect feedback from customers on their experiences with MSTR product and sales process. Use this feedback to continually improve sales enablement efforts and provide sales team with customer insights that can help them close deals more effectively.  
  • Gain a deep understanding of the implementation of the entire suite of MicroStrategy software in rapid deployment and proof of concept scenarios. 
  • Create a playbook that outlines sales process, messaging, objection handling, and buyer personas.  
  • Develop sales collateral such as product brochures, case studies, and customer testimonials that your sales team can use to support their sales efforts. Make sure your sales collateral is relevant to your buyer personas and addresses their specific pain points.  
  • Effectiveness and High-Quality Dedication: ensure the team is up to speed on latest Positioning and Demonstration Content and Practices. Deliverables to customers are of high quality following and nurturing best practices.  
  • Train sales team on product features, benefits, and use cases, as well as on general sales techniques. Approach to include role-playing exercises to help team practice their sales skills and gain confidence.  
  • Monitor sales team's performance and measure the effectiveness of sales enablement efforts. Use this data to identify areas for improvement and adjust as needed.

Required Experience and Skills

You should also bring the following:  

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience 
  • Exceptional oral, presentation and written communication skills Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability  
  • Ability to articulate complex topics to both executives and sales professionals, and to translate technical advantages into business benefits  
  • Engaged, positive attitude able to prioritize in demanding environment  
  • Relevant experience in sales enablement, sales operations, or sales training. You should have a proven track record of success in developing and executing sales enablement programs that drive revenue growth 
  • You should have experience working with sales technology, such as CRMs, sales automation tools, and sales analytics software.  
  • The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can manage teams, collaborate with other departments, and drive results. Experience managing teams or leading projects  
  • You should be able to identify problems and come up with solutions that are aligned with the company's goals. Experience solving complex problems and can think strategically.  
  • Successful completion of MicroStrategy bootcamp certification program upon employment  
  • Software industry experience preferred 
  • Ability to travel as required
