Job Description

The Role: The Business Development Director of Professional Services is responsible for account planning, and sales demand management activities. They will also drive the development of new services and license business opportunities in the assigned region and ensure quality service delivery in all consulting engagements.

Your Focus:

  • Manage Consulting Services Sales Pipeline in the Japanese market
  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close consulting service engagements with a focus on account expansion
  • Promote best practices and modernization within our customer’s MicroStrategy investments
  • Perform sales activities, including the execution of joint account planning sessions between teams to identify new opportunity areas. Execute these opportunities alongside license sales organization.
  • Document client visits with respect to risks, opportunity and relevant actions plans while forecasting sales activity and revenue achievement
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals and assist in the Request for Proposal process
  • Coordinate with regional sales management and consulting management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, prospects, and partners.
  • Support and implement regional and corporate initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain world-class consulting processes and personnel.
  • Meet professional services sales order book and profit quotas
  • Provide delivery management to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide tactical and programmatic support to achieve product sales quota.
  • Demonstrate active partnership with the sales team to support pipeline and deals with the opportunity to upsell MicroStrategy consulting services.

Qualifications

  • Technical education (BS, MS) preferred or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 5-10 years of consulting and consulting management experience at the Region/District level
  • English and Japanese Language skills 
  • 3-5 years of experience managing all aspects of a services business, including account management experience
  • Prior experience in systems integration consulting or software/ hardware vendor services
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and manage the technical personnel and processes associated with enterprise software sales
  • Ability to excel in a team environment
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability
  • Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and retain project-based employees effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, deploy and maintain career development and project delivery programs
  • Understanding of core Business Intelligence/ Data warehousing technology: RDBMS, Web- Client/ Server, OLAP
