Job Description

This is a technical role to oversee the design, implementation, and operation of our Enterprise IT security systems. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for designing enterprise level IT security systems, overseeing the project implementation, creating the technical design documents, and measuring the performance of the security controls in place. In this role, the incumbent will utilize industry standard methodologies to effectively manage MicroStrategy’s Cybersecurity Engineering teams.  
This position will require excellent communication skills and experience presenting to senior leadership on the effectiveness of the security controls. This position will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer. 

Ideal candidates will be located in Nagpur or within commutable distance, however remote candidates will be considered. 

Your focus: 

  • Establish guidelines to monitor network and systems security operations and ensure service availability. 
  • Track progress and report on the effectiveness of security controls as well as establish meaningful KPIs.  
  • Work with IT and Technology teams to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective security solutions for On-Prem vs Cloud operations. 
  • Monitor the security operations of various applications. 
  • Project managing the design and implementation of the security solutions. Creating technical design documents, manage vendor relationships and work with purchasing for all maintenance renewals. 
  • Engage with Cloud Providers about MicroStrategy cloud security configuration and ensure effective tools utilization. 
  • Manage timely collection of evidence and support IT compliance activities. 
  • Own asset management, monitoring of inventory and recommend purchases of equipment and supplies as needed to meet operational requirements. 
  • Maintain adequate backups of security devices and perform regular testing in compliance with the backup policy. 
  • Supervise a team of security engineers and subject matter experts; recruit, hire, mentor, and manage personnel with diverse technical skill sets. 
  • Establish and ensure secure configurations for hardware and software of laptops, workstations, and servers. 
  • Participate in emerging trends and new technologies to identify potential improvements to the security operations tools. 
  • Manage on-call rotation and maintenance schedules. 
  • Coordinate operational activities including maintenance windows and break/fix tasks.

Qualifications

  • Able to work core hours of 12:30pm and 8:30pm IST. 
  • Minimum 10 years work experience in highly available operations infrastructure. 
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant management/supervisory experience.  
  • Previous work experience as a security architect. 
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise security, systems, networking modules, and software integration. 
  • Strong experience with management of Firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS, SEIM, Vulnerability Scanning systems, end-point detection and response, and Cloud Security. 
  • Proven experience working with the compliance frameworks and their implementation related to NIST, FedRAMP, HiTRUST, and ISO 27001. 
  • Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, and Office software. 
  • Proficiency in audit methodology and risk/controls assessments. 
  • Experience in Incident Response, Disaster Recovery, Digital Forensics and Cyber Intelligence.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively understand sophisticated areas within a short period of time & multi-task on various projects with competing deadlines.

  • This is a hybrid position: it may be necessary to come to the office in Nagpur from time to time upon request (training, team building events)
