Job Description

 

We are seeking a talented individual who is fluent in German and English to join our accomplished team of contracts specialists serving as a key contributor in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and supporting general corporate legal matters. Fluency in other European languages is a plus. In this role, the individual will need to closely work with the attorneys supporting Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as well as other jurisdictions across the EMEA region. A successful candidate for this position must be able to work seamlessly with other team members and departments across multiple countries and cultures. The position will be based in Warsaw, Poland. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-caliber, collegial department with other dedicated legal professionals on a wide variety of matters for an innovative, publicly traded technology company.

 

Your Focus:

  • Assist in negotiating the terms of commercial contracts (commercial licensing, cloud subscription and services)
  • Promote, balance and manage company and customer/vendor interests
  • Facilitate discussions with customers and vendors
  • Assist with general corporate legal matters, including corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters
  • Assist with project and process improvement initiatives, policies and procedures
  • Regularly coordinate with and validate input from internal organizations
  • Conduct legal research

 

Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. (or equivalent) (Legal degree is not required as this is not an attorney role)
  • Fluency in English and German, both oral and written
  • Fluency in other European languages is considered a plus 
  • Experience with, and enthusiasm for, transactional work, process improvement, legal research and other legal matters
  • Ability to manage fast-paced workload in a dynamic environment
  • Proactive, self-starter who shows project ownership and enjoys working across departments
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience preparing legal documents
  • Precision and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish goals
  • Team player enjoys being part of a team of talented individuals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point and Word)
