Job Description

The Role:  The Product Marketing Strategist for Embedded Analytics is responsible for ensuring that our highest priority technical solutions and industry-leading products are well understood and positioned so that we achieve specific sales and financial objectives. This role focuses on API-based B2B analytics solutions targeted at CTOs, product leaders, and developers desiring to incorporate business intelligence capabilities into their software products.  The candidate will oversee all aspects of the go-to-market plan for the solution, including lead generation, competitive positioning, market-oriented outbound messaging, and sales enablement. The Product Marketing Strategist will also deliver written, video, and live presentations through leadership content creation that drive opportunities with current and potential customers. 

Your Focus: 

  • Develop and execute go-to-marketing solution strategies and messaging content development for Embedded Analytics, grounded in insightful market positioning intelligence and rationale 
  • Conduct extensive competitive analysis and identify and understand target segments, verticals, personas, use cases, and new market opportunities in the B2B market for enterprise software 
  • Partner with the technology team in developing the roadmap for the existing portfolio, and communicate an innovative vision for the Embedded Analytics solution  
  • Create compelling assets that integrate tangible proof points, differentiation, and business value impactful to CTOs, product leaders, and developers, enabling Sales to confidently articulate and position the solutions’ value proposition 
  • Work with Marketing Operations to align marketing metrics to the market solutions; contribute to the development and refinement of metrics, KPIs and measurements, specifically lead generation and pipeline growth. 
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of processes, tools, initiatives, infrastructure and technology that will support and improve the market solutions 
  • Track and align stakeholder acceptance and market solutions introduction effectiveness; implement Analyst and Press Relations teams

You should also bring the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of engineering, business, or marketing; MBA preferred 
  • 5 - 10 years of professional experience in software technology; a significant portion of this experience should be in sales or marketing of B2B, API-based embedded software solutions targeted at CTOs, product leaders, and developers 
  • Experience working with Developer Playgrounds and other technical communities designed to drive affinity and engagement with prospective users and developers 
  • Strong knowledge of the Business Intelligence software space 
  • Ability to think creatively and communicate ideas to drive continued excellence for the team 
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and working directly with technical teams 
  • Very strong operational and people leadership skills in a matrixed environment 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
