Job description:

  • Support monthly and quarterly end close for several entities.
  • Assist Lead Accountant with ensuring all purchase requisitions are reviewed for policy compliance and general ledger coding prior to entry into the accounting system.
  • Perform accurate and timely preparation of required accounting entries along with necessary support to ensure all closing deadlines ( monthly, quarterly, annual) are met, this includes but not limited to monthly accrual, proper processing of daily transactions in, analytics review of period result etc.
  • Responsible for billing to customers upon contract execution or delivery of service and ensure timely collection for all invoices including follow up with customers for overdue invoices.
  • Responsible in managing the revenue booking to ensure revenue is allocated accurately to respective revenue stream according to company policy.
  • Support Lead Accountant in billing to Japan customers.
  • Work with 3rd party payroll service provider for monthly payroll computation and other statutory payroll related requirements to ensure timely filing.
  • Responsible in managing all statutory and tax requirements (Quarterly GST/VAT, Withholding tax, Corporate tax matters) and work with tax firm to ensure local compliance. Assist with information request from Tax Department.
  • Support the Financial Shared Service Center based in Poland in purchase order processes, employees T&E, fixed assets management, banking, and addressing any ad hoc queries/information if request.
  • Prepare monthly cash forecast report for submission to US HQ.
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely completion of all cash reconciliations at the end of each month.
  • Maintain highest level of user proficiency of JDE accounting system.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Assist with requests from internal and external auditors as needed.
  • Assist other team members with system or policy issues, and any other special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Requirement:

  • Qualification should be diploma or degree in accountancy with 2-3 years of working experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (includes pivot, vlookup etc) and preferred JDE experience (but not essential).
  • Fluent in English, both verbal & writing is essential
  • Business level Japanese proficiency is essential
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communicator and excellent attention to details

  • Timely Follow-up and Completion of Assigned Tasks

  • Experience working in a multi-company & multi-currency environment required
