Job Description

The Role: Consultants empower customers to make more informed decisions by providing timely, relevant, and accurate answers to their business questions. To achieve this mission, Consultants work to understand business needs and technical requirements, and design and implement high value solutions in the MicroStrategy platform. Consultants are an integral part of the world's largest staff of MicroStrategy Certified Engineers and leverage knowledge and best practices across our global team for customer success.  


Your Focus:

  • Defines a project approach to ensure customer and account success, and provides critical and constructive guidance leveraging MicroStrategy best practices to customers, steering them towards a long-term vision for success
  • Provides technical oversight projects and project teams, including customers and partners, taking their ideas from concept through full deployment, while mentoring junior colleagues
  • Creates technical and/or functional MicroStrategy solutions based on customer requirements and business objectives, including standalone applications and more complex interdependent systems within client infrastructure
  • Develops relationships with team members both internally and with customers and partners, including at the executive level, and manages the consulting engagement to deliver objectives and expected outcomes
  • Actively participates in internal knowledge-sharing forums 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or equivalent degree in a technical, or related field. A degree in Computer Science, Economy or Engineering is preferred
  • 2-5 years of industry, technology and services experience
  • Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI) or Data Analysis concepts and Data Warehousing technology: RDBMS and OLAP
  • Demonstrates proficiency analyzing data and has solid SQL skills
  • Solution and customer-oriented behavior is self-evident
  • Team player with high motivation, hands-on mentality and assertiveness
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn constantly new technologies and business requirements engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience building MicroStrategy solutions, including schemas, cubes, dossiers, libraries, mobile and transaction services
  • Able to work under minimal supervision. Staffing to local projects or based on remote access when possible
  • Experience designing and implementing MicroStrategy or other business intelligence solutions preferred
