The need to attract the finest talent in the Technology industry continues to be one of MicroStrategy’s top priorities. As Manager, Americas Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for managing a small team tasked with finding, attracting, and hiring talent into all parts of the company against a high bar for performance, potential, and culture fit. We are looking for an individual with a consultative instinct and a passion for recruiting who does not view Talent Acquisition as “transactional.” Areas of support and focus will include roles across our business, including but not limited to Technology and IS, Sales, Marketing, Legal and Finance but may include other directorates as needed.  You will also own and manage our global recruiting system (SmartRecruiters), processes and skills assessments. As a recruiting leader, you will work directly for the Vice President, Human Resources to facilitate the growth and mentorship of the team. 

Your Focus

  • This is a player-coach role. You will be responsible for managing a small team of TA specialists while also directly recruiting for more senior or harder to fill roles.
  • Partner with, consult with, and advise hiring managers throughout the entire talent acquisition lifecycle 
  • Lead the sourcing, qualifying, interviewing, evaluation, and offer negotiation process 
  • Evaluate team member workloads and apply a strategic lens to assigning roles
  • Advise the team on unique ways to source candidates including internet sourcing, social networking, driving employee referrals, cold-calling and attending networking events 
  • Strive to provide each applicant with a highly positive candidate experience regardless of ultimate outcome 
  • Track metrics and use data for strategic analysis of recruiting processes 
  • Ensure team is motivated, developing, and trained on MicroStrategy TA processes and systems 

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience sourcing, assessing, recruiting and closing candidates at all levels of an organization in either a corporate or agency setting (or both) 
  • Proven success delivering recruiting results in a fast-paced, demanding environment 
  • Experience supporting a Technology organization in recruiting of developers, software engineers, dev ops specialists, UX/UI designers, QE engineers, documentation specialists, and technical project leads as well as comfort recruiting corporate roles
  • Success in providing mentorship and guidance to current Talent Acquisition team members 
  • Gravitas and poise in collaborating with senior executives
  • Proficiency and experience with ATS and HRIS systems (experience with SmartRecruiters will be a strong plus)
  • Excellent sourcing skills, with the ability to creatively use all resources available to network and find passive candidates 
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with both candidates & hiring managers while keeping customer service as a priority 
  • General understanding of HR concepts, principles, practices, as well as Federal, State and Local laws and statutes 
  • Experience creating compelling position descriptions that attract top talent to our organization 
  • Ability to manage multiple recruiting priorities and manage an average workload of 15+ requisitions 
  • Experience contributing to team goals and helping those around you solve problems 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills 
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
