Job Description
The Compliance Analyst ensures products and processes for assigned business units are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. He/she participates in the development of compliance policies and procedures, and monitors compliance within assigned business lines through review of self-assessments and periodic testing.
Your Focus:
- Coordinate, develop, and maintain system documentation; monitors and reviews changes and updates documents for accuracy, currency and compliance with policies and procedures
- Perform periodic reviews and testing per the applicable laws and regulations
- Consult the business units on compliance related matters and assists with any compliance concerns or violations to ensure compliance
- Provide training and communications to all employees on general compliance and security and to specific employees on the responsibilities for compliance and security that may be associated with their positions
- Ensure compliance of change control procedures and policies; evaluates and participates in meeting requirements for re-validation; validates compliance with software and hardware agreements with external vendors
- Develop questions on self-testing and monitoring, and analyze the results of the self-testing
- Develop policies and procedures defining the security controls to be implemented in the applicable systems with the applicable stakeholders
- Write, define, document, and guide implementation of compliance-related requirements on configuration standards for servers, network devices, and operating systems
- Support Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide Security Best Practices recommendations on a variety of tools and security domains including Network (Firewall, IDS), Platform (Windows/Linux), and Application (Webservers, Databases)
- Assist the Operations and Engineering Team on technically implementing automation and process improvement solutions to meet compliance, business, and internally defined requirements
- Analyze risks associated with processes or applications and mitigates risk with appropriate control
- Research technologies, tools, regulations, and trends that would assist in obtaining compliance and security certifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity is preferred
- 1-2+ years of IT audit and /or compliance experience
- Knowledge of compliance and privacy regulations such as PCI-DSS, Sarbanes Oxley, SAS-70, SOC-2 and HIPAA
- Experience with security awareness training, incident response, vulnerability assessment, and IT security controls.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to be self-motivated and work independently as well as in a team environment
