As an Associate Sales Engineer, you will go through extensive training including a 5-weeks bootcamp. Post the training, you will work as part of a dedicated team to develop innovative and creative new product demonstrations, design new demo interfaces and demonstration configurations. You will also have the opportunity to deliver demos to customers provide technical sales support that will win over new
prospects. The goal of this team is to ensure a high level of field support so that we can provide the best customer focused sales experience.

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

•Supports off-site Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects utilizing MicroStrategy software to address a customer's business issue(s) of low to moderate scope and with customer provided or mocked-up data. Exercises judgment and instruction within defined organizational procedures and practices to determine appropriate
action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships as required to support this effort
• Assists with customer RFP proposal efforts by researching and providing RFP responses in cooperation with field Sales Engineers
• Provides assistance to the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) team with technical sales and demo support by telephone and/or WebEx
• Attends and supports MicroStrategy’s annual User Conferences and other marketing events if needed
• Gains experience and knowledge of MicroStrategy software through product training classes and supervised work assignments. Uses this experience and knowledge to develop expertise in MicroStrategy software including new releases
• Travels as required to take training and to support customer training events, marketing events and customer meetings. Travel requirements should not exceed 15%
• Supports the worldwide Sales Engineering demonstration infrastructure environment as required to provide the field SE organization with a stable and reusable demonstration environment. Tasks may include reusable demonstration platform design, development and support, dashboard library support, and mosh pit administration support
• Co-delivers Jump Start courses to prospects and clients on a quarterly basis and actively recruits attendees to these events
• Stays current on the MicroStrategy product roadmap as well as understanding the scenarios, features, and functions within our product platform and how these are applied to address business and technical problems
• Plans own work priorities on a regular basis
• Receives general instructions on routine work from supervisor and is guided by objectives of an assigned project's ongoing assignments
• Consistently tracks time and activity in MicroStrategy's internal time management systems

  • Bachelor of Science or Master in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Related minimum 2 years of working experience (e.g., presales, sales, marketing, consulting, and/or training) is required
  • Knowledge and understanding in one or more topics related to Sales Support Operation duties such as: Graphic design (Photoshop, Creative Suite),Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint, Relational
    databases & SQL, iPhone, iPad development, Java programming, Adobe Flex programming
  • Proven or demonstrably outstanding speaking and writing skills 
  • Proven or demonstrably outstanding presentation skills  
  • Strong English communication is required
  • Good listening skills and ability to collaborate and partner with field Sales Engineers  
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills  
  • Ability to understand and satisfy business analytics requirements, translate them into requirements and answer them with appealing and useful data visualizations  
  • High-level of creativity  
  • Competitive and driven to win  
  • Personable and able to handle high stress environments and tight deadlines  
  • Experience with Business Intelligence systems or relational database management systems a plus  
  • Successful completion of MicroStrategy certification program upon employment  
  • Ability to travel as needed
