Job Description

Lead and manage day-to-day security business operations as a value-added member of the functional support team, supporting proposal activities and executing existing programs, facilitating personnel security actions, maintaining all classified information, liaising with government security representatives, and addressing information systems security approvals in coordination with an assigned Information Systems Security personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Successful candidate will perform the following independent duties and must have previous experience performing such duties:

  • Provides security leadership, management and oversight to the facility
  • Develops and implements security policies and direction consistent with Company, DOD and other Government Regulations
  • Responsible for interpreting policies, developing and implementing security plans and procedures
  • Manages all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and other security activities within facility, including document control, visitor control, personnel security, and preparation of DD Form 254 for classified contracting
  • Providing support for all security functions in accordance with the NISPOM, DCIDs, ICDs and other applicable government security directives associated with security programs
  • Liaison with the Defense Security Services (DSS) and other Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) agencies, as required
  • Oversees the processing of new employee security clearances within JPAS
  • Responsible for all Administrative Inquiries (conducts investigations of non-compliance)
  • Handles Incident Reporting
  • Conducts security briefings and training to Company employees
  • Prepare and maintain official records auditable by US Government representatives
  • Support the development of proposals for Federal and commercial customers
  • Perform security administrative duties to include processing incoming and outgoing classified documents and materials
  • Process incoming and outgoing classified visits to include passing visits via JPAS
  • Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken
  • Prepare and submit Reinstatements, Crossovers, Nomination Letters, 4311s, CPRLs, JAFAN SAP Formats, RFAs and XOBs
  • Ensure all SF86s (word document and e-QIP) are reviewed for accuracy prior to submission

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant security experience required
  • Experience with Intelligence Community and Defense agency processes and procedures is a plus
  • Working knowledge of JPAS and other security software required in the performance of duties (e.g. ACAVS, JPAS, ISFD, eFOCI, eFCL, eQIP, Access Commander)
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance Required
  • Current FSO security certification is a plus
  • Previous experience and/or knowledge of supporting the NGA (National Geospatial Agency)
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, written and communication skills
  • Independent thinking and the exercise of good judgment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work as part of a matrixed team, with little supervision
  • Discreet handling of confidential information
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
  • Candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • US citizenship required
