Job Description
Metia’s Austin office is looking for a Content Specialist to join our team. Metia believes that delivering the right content to the right customer in the right context is key to successful marketing, and the content specialist’s utmost responsibility is to help these three things converge.
The ideal candidate will be able to translate insight into action and will have a positive attitude, a strong viewpoint, desire to grow their content strategy skills, and experience with style guidelines and content creation.
What you will do
Work directly with stakeholders to develop high-quality content and assure proper tone, messaging, and effectiveness.
Build, maintain, and implement content plans and editorial calendars.
Audit and map content toward a variety of outcomes, like message prioritization, journey phases, channel planning, and gap analysis.
Oversee the creation and migration of content as part of website redesigns.
Conduct keyword research and make on-page optimizations to web content for SEO.
Review outgoing content for quality standards.
Support the lead content strategist with the internal modernization and content service development through the maintenance of templates, processes, and documentation.
Qualifications

Experience creating or managing digital content
Ability to manage and effectively prioritize workload, often with tight deadlines
Keen attention to detail
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated interest in content strategy
Basic knowledge and understanding of SEO
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Willingness to learn, adapt, and manage various projects across multiple work streams
Extra points if you have
- Familiarity with UX best practices
- Agency and/or marketing experience
Experience working with complex, B2B, and/or technology clients
- Experience creating and executing lead nurture programs
